Arrow Forestry Provides…

Forest and Habitat Management
A forest and habitat management plan helps you meet your goals by providing a set of concrete activities, along with a timeline, to help your forest and farmland reach its full potential. Whether you want to create habitat for wildlife preservation, improve riparian ecosystems, generate income from timber, or provide hunting lands for your family and friends, a management plan provides the direction you need. Developing a plan doesn’t have to be complicated, but the more you know, the more effectively you can manage to reach your goals.  A management plan combines a thorough knowledge of your forest’s potential with your ownership goals, and it is often a prerequisite for participating in a conservation easement, forest cooperatives, or cost-share programs.  Arrow Forestry has expertise in management planning practices for Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), USDA Forest Stewardship Program, American Tree Farm System and Quality Deer Management Association Deer Steward and Land Certification.

Forest Certification Services
Arrow Forestry is trained and experienced in Forest Management and Chain-of-Custody certification assessment.  By applying this expertise while developing management and monitoring plans for your property, Arrow Forestry makes sure you’re ready to participate in our region’s forest certification opportunities.  In addition, any plans and practices you’ve already developed or implemented can be assessed for current certification compatibility, determining what is needed to take your management to the next level.

Forest and Farm Mapping/GIS
Mapping the forests, streams, fields and infrastructure with the latest technology lets you see your property in a new way.  Combining existing data with field inspections results in useful maps that accurately show acreages and help you visually plan for forest stands, wildlife habitat and farm land.  Years of experience and a current Post Baccalaureate Certificate of Geographic Information Science (GIS) provides Arrow Forestry with the know-how to map your resources.

Forest Resources Inventory and Valuation
Learn valuable information about your resources with an inventory designed to meet your objectives.  Whether you’re interested in selling timber now, planning your financial future, appraising your estate, improving habitat, identifying non-timber forest products, or considering a conservation easement, a resource inventory and timber valuation provides critical information about your forest’s current condition and value.

In addition, Arrow Forestry provides a full range of services including:
Timber Harvest Marketing & Supervision * Crop Tree Release Selection for Timber and Habitat * Riparian Management Planning * Timber Trespass Inventory * Gypsy Moth Egg Mass Surveys * Plat Map Digitizing * Invasive Species Surveys * Food Plot Consultation * Non-Timber Forest Product Consultation
